GREATWORSHIPSONGS.COM TO PROVIDE MODERN WORSHIP RESOURCES FOR TODAY’S CHURCH

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Greatworshipsongs.com, a new division of Brentwood-Benson Music Publishing, Inc., will develop and provide modern worship recordings and resources for today’s church, it has been announced by Dale Mathews, President, Brentwood-Benson Music Publishing. Steve Rice, a 20-year veteran of the Christian music industry, will serve as Executive Director of Greatworshipsongs.com.
 
Through the Greatworshipsongs.com web site, slated to launch this month, worshippers and worship leaders will be able to download new worship songs, as well as many of the top CCLI worship songs of today. Songs made popular by many of today’s top Christian artists—including Michael W. Smith, Casting Crowns, Third Day and Selah, among others—will also be accessible for congregational worship.
 
The Greatworshipsongs.com site will offer downloadable audio, lead sheets, chord charts and lyrics.  Visitors to the site will be able to group songs into “worship sets,” and other users can rate, comment and purchase those collections.  The Greatworshipsongs.com brand will also offer CDs, songbooks, choral works and ancillary recorded products.

Rice has been a leader in the creation and distribution of worship music for the last decade.  While serving as Senior Vice President for EMI Christian Music Publishing, Rice developed the Worship Together brand and worshiptogether.com.  He has been instrumental in the introduction of such classic worship songs as “Here I Am To Worship,” “I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever,” “Heart Of Worship,” “Forever,” “Better Is One Day” and “You Are My King,” working alongside such leading songwriters as Chris Tomlin.
